Who are the party people?

This side hustle was born out of passion for helping people celebrate the small moments. I'm Lisa Porterfield Thompson, mom of three boys and wife of a firefighter. I love, love, love celebrating... big things, little things, mundane things. There is no day that goes by that I don't think of a reason to celebrate a little, even if that means a McDonalds coke and a bag of peanut M&Ms because it's Tuesday. Life is too short to have regular days.

I work full time in Economic Development and Public Relations for a municipality locally. I freelance write for lifestyle magazine, and teach public speaking at the university as well. I am on the leadership team for the Ladies Ministry at my church, and adore thrift shopping and throwing parties, of course. On the weekends I'm usually hustling between basketball/soccer/baseball games, and helping my bestie with a catering gig or two.

Why do I keep saying we? Because I can't do this alone. I have people-- two besties, an incredible mom and hubby... all of whom are used to getting pulled into whatever shenanigans I'm working on. It's a team effort!

I have a couple degrees in public relations, journalism and public service and am a certified public communicator as well. I'm currently working to become a certified public manager with hopes to be a city manager someday. Big dreams for sure, but for now, I'd love to help plan your next big event.
